Between the two first "Twilight" films she was allowed to shoot five additional projects that included "Up In the Air". The Oscar award for the best actress in the supporting role was given to her as George Clooney on that project. Anna Cook Kendrick was conceived in Portland, Maine, on August 9 , 1985. Her mother worked as an accountant, while her father taught of history. Anna was fostered by her brother Michael who was an actor. Michael later on became an actor. Anna Kendrick started auditioning for Broadway shows as a teenager in Deering High School in Portland. At the age of 12, she was cast in her first major acting role in the theatre when she joined the group of High Society in 1998. She was an accomplished young actor, securing numerous nominations. Kendrick was nominated both for her performance and Rocket Science 2007, at the age of 15.
